Pool & spa owners have 60 days to bring their pools into compliance if an inspector identifies any

non-compliant safety concerns.

This law applies to pools or spas that are privately owned and fixed into the property or require assembly. These rules do not apply to pools that don’t require assembly such as a small, inflatable pool and If the portable or inflatable pool can hold more than 300mm of water.

Pool Fence Compliance certificates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Once submitted to council no renewal is required for 4 years.
